Free Color Coded Sheet Music

One advantage of the Fretless Finger Guide™ is its unique color-coding system. You can use this to accelerate the learning process. Learning to color code your own sheet music has never been easier. If you’re a beginner, start with easy songs and scales. You’ll need seven colored marking pens – get markers that correspond with the color scheme on the Guide. Color each note in your sheet music with the corresponding color on the Guide. The exercise of color coding your sheet music is a great way to learn to read music. If you need help with the names of the notes and where they are on the music staff visit our Theory page. Have some fun finding the correct notes in the correct order on your instrument. Remember, listening to a suitable rendition of the song you want to play can be very helpful. With practice, you’ll be able to progress to more elaborate songs.

The following free color coded sheet music and music scale examples are provided to help you get started.

This version of Amazing Grace shows how a piece of sheet music can be color coded to work in conjunction with the Fretless Finger Guides™. Learning to color code your own sheet music is a quick and easy way to learn to read music. See our Color Coded Sheet Music page for more color coded songs. See our Color Coded Music Scales page and be sure to visit our Color Coded Christmas Music page.
